The 56th Higher Education Expo China, the grandest higher education expo in China holding for 3 days, recently came to an end in Qingdao, attracting university teachers from all over the country to participate in.
NewClass booth is equipped with three distinctive exhibition areas, namely “Remote Simultaneous Interpretation Classroom”, “Remote Language Laboratory”, and “High-Density WiFi Mobile Classroom”.
Remote Simultaneous Interpretation Classroom Exhibition Area
Through the NewClass Fusion Cloud, a simultaneous interpretation classroom was presented on the spot. “A fusion classroom online and offline” is shown by a teacher and two interpreters (responsible for the interpretation between Chinese and English/Korean) in the exhibition area and remote participation in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Led by the on-site commentators and technical engineers, the teachers experienced the NewClass remote teaching system, and communicated with students in different locations but in the same classroom in “face-to-face” manner. The system supports simultaneous interpretation remote teaching, training, and conference interpretation training, realizing remote immersive teaching regardless of the location.
Remote Language Laboratory Exhibition Area
The student terminal in the remote language laboratory exhibition area is composed of an all-in-one machine and terminal. You can not only try basic functions and smart functions such as visual lectures, visual grouping discussions, and big data resource interfaces on site, but also experience classroom layout and equipment operation. Combined with the “NewClass remote teaching system”, the language laboratory can expand the teaching space, and carry out the listening and speaking training for local and remote students simultaneously and in undifferentiated way.
High-Density WiFi Mobile Classroom Exhibition Area
A smart classroom that guarantees the effect of informatized teaching and allows desks and chairs to be moved at will is the favorite of many teachers. The NewClass booth has set up a special smart exhibition area. In order to show the teaching process, the mobile terminals used in the 16 student seats are hung side by side with the teacher’s large screen on the back panel. All details can be shown in the screen when teacher delivers lectures and operates courseware, and when the students receive and answer questions. Mobile smart classrooms break the limitations of fixed-seat classrooms and provide teachers with full freedom of scenario deployment for the design of teaching activities.
On the first day of the Expo, Dong Liang, the deputy general manager of NewClass, accepted an exclusive interview at the booth and introduced the integrated classrooms, remote and mobile classrooms offered by NewClass, and various solutions that adopt information technology to expand the teaching space.
The “NewClass Remote” exhibited for the first time at the Higher Education Expo China is the classroom teaching designed by NewClass for the classrooms. It breaks through the barriers of environmental space, and expands the pattern of classroom teaching to multiple classrooms, multiple campuses, multiple regions, and even multinational joint teaching. NewClass will continue to support the cross-regional exchange and promotion of high-quality teaching methods to improve education and teaching.
