At 9:00 a.m. on May 19, 2018, China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters in China (CATTI), known as “the ID Card for translators and interpreters” and “the work permit”, was held in the designated colleges and universities nationwide. There are three levels of interpreter test, including “Interpreting Comprehensive Aptitude” test, with the duration of 60 minutes; Level 3 and Level 1 “Interpreting Practice”, with the duration of 30 minutes; Level 2 “Interpreting Practice (consecutive interpretation)' test, with the duration of 60 minutes.
As China’s most authoritative translating & interpreting certification test facing the society, CATTI presents very high requirements for the equipment used in the test, which requires the equipment to have long-term recording stability, clear recording quality and meet the recording file storage requirements.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies specially organized a test observation group composed of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province as well as relevant departments of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies for the observation and discussion of the test.
