On June 23, in the NewClass simultaneous interpreting classroom of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature Beijing Normal University, the final of simultaneous interpreting contest of the 7th All China Interpreting Contest was held.

There are 32 delegate seats and 8 double-seat interpreter rooms in the NewClass simultaneous interpreting room of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature Beijing Normal University. In this contest, 16 simultaneous interpreting elites from all over China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) were divided into two groups. With the principle of “one box for one contestant”, 8 contestants corresponding to 8 boxes started the contest at the same time, conducting English-Chinese and Chinese-English simultaneous interpreting of the broadcast video for 20 minutes respectively. The judges operated the NewClass terminal from the delegate seats and evaluated the performance of the contestants in each box one by one. The contest was conducted in a quiet, intense and orderly way, and the contestants fully showed their talent as an interpreter. During the contest, 7 judges also made an in-depth exchange on the examination questions and the performance of the contestants.

All China Interpreting Contest is a national contest sponsored by Translators Association of China. Since the first session of the contest, the NewClass simultaneous interpreting training system has witnessed the contest of the students at each session and also accompanied the teachers and students from day to day. NewClass would like to show gratitude to the teachers for the trust all the time. We will follow technical progress, continuously improve product functions and support teaching application.
