The "CIUTI International Conference 2024," co-hosted by CIUTI and Shanghai International Studies University, took place from May 28 to 31 at SISU.

The conference, themed “Reshaping the T&I Paradigm: Openness and Integration," was attended by over 50 CIUTI member representatives from around the world. Beijing NewClass Digital Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the event.

At the opening ceremony on May 28th, Mrs. Ye Linlin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Mr. Ching Jian, Vice President of Shanghai International Studies University, Mr. Bart Defrancq, President of the International Federation of University Translation Institutes, Mrs. Rima Al-Chikh, Director of the Division of Conference Management of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Mr. Ian Phillips, Director of the News and Media Division of the Department of Global Communications of the United Nations Headquarters, Mrs. Zhang Zhang, Secretary General of the Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Translation, Xing Yutang, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the China Translation Association (CTA), attended the conference and delivered speeches, which was moderated by Lieven Buysse, Secretary General of the International Federation of University Translation Institutes.

NewClass has been collaborating with SISU's School of Interpreting and Translation on various aspects of digital teaching and research for over a decade. At the conference, NewClass showcased its Remote Simultaneous Interpreting Training System and NewClass Hub, highlighting the interactive, mobile learning, and remote expansion capabilities of its smart teaching solutions. Representatives experienced application of NewClass systems in teaching and international conference scenarios.

During the conference, NewClass was also invited to attend the 10th-anniversary celebration of collaboration between the United Nations Global Communications Department and SISU, witnessing the remarkable achievements of a decade of partnership.
