On September 21-22, the 4th National Translation Competence Academic Symposium and the 1st Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Language Service Competence Building International Exchange Conference were successfully held in Macau, China. Co-organized by Beijing NewClass Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and others, the event was attended by Dong Liang, General Manager of NewClass, and over a hundred representatives.

Ren Wen, Director of the National Translation Competence Research Center and Dean of the Graduate School of Translation at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), released the 2023 Translation Competence Index for 193 countries worldwide, the Translation Competence Index for 469 Chinese universities, and the 2023 Translation Competence Index for International Metropolises. The session was moderated by Li Changshuan, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Translation at BFSU.

Dong Liang, General Manager of NewClass, delivered the keynote speech titled "Fusing Advantages, Building the Future: NewClass’s Perspective on Collaborative Training of Translation Talents in the Greater Bay Area". The discussion explored the current state of collaborative talent development in Greater Bay Area universities, integration of advantages and future development directions. He also provided a detailed introduction to innovative teaching approaches brought by NewClass Hub in the digital intelligence era, extending NewClass’s deep-rooted foreign language teaching models into a new cross-disciplinary classroom teaching paradigm. Using real-life examples from Greater Bay Area universities, he illustrated how to quickly build classroom interactions and real-time remote teaching across multiple spaces, from foreign language training to intelligent teaching in interdisciplinary integration.
